I remember the expensive bottle of champagne I bought just before November 8, 2016.

Took me two years to be able to open it and drink it.

I'm waiting till I know that orange asshole is really leaving our White House.

I rarely drink, so will use for party, would like to invite EVERYONE, friends/family/cyber-friends (including DU) to my little, secluded peninsula in southern MD, inauguration day!

It doesn't love me anymore. Getting old. 🤪

However, I'm willing to deal with a really bad hangover on January 21, 2021.

I have already discussed with my Democratic neighbors, party in the street on January 20th! Safe way to social distance. And all the Republican neighbors will hear us celebrating.

I so hope the polls are right but I've seen the polls be wrong too many times. Don't get complacent, vote! (But yeah I'm preaching to the choir here)

...would only be referring to one poll, however highly-rated, that was showing results in line with what we've been seeing from everyone else recently. If the tweet wasn't complete unfounded speculation, that would imply more to come.

Voters on our side not voting by mail take the coronavirus far more seriously than the opposition and may look for an excuse to stay home and not vote. Another negative factor is that with reduced polling places and especially if weather is bad, long lines outdoors will encourage some to just give up and go back home if they think their candidate can't lose.

That's why I fear secretive right-wing media elements are pushing a narrative of "Biden certain to win", to both encourage their lazy ones to vote and to discourage our voters afraid of getting sick.

However on a positive note, every Democrat I know is hell-bent to vote this time even if they have to crawl to their polling place or to a mail box.
