Once in a while, I give in. I have to be careful. There is alcoholism on my mother's side of the family. Anyhow, booze has too many calories.

Except the alcoholic was my dad.
Genes are tricky things, and I prefer not to mess with them. So I only indulge once in a great while, and stick to diet soda the rest of the time.

I know too much about this topic after years of caring for individuals affected adversely by its use. But that doesn't keep me away from a good soaked Christmas pudding...❤
