But I remember years ago that David Frum was an interviewee on the Rachel Maddow Show shortly after Rachel first got a show on MSNBC as the lead into to Countdown with Keith Olbermann... She got into a bit a verbal spat with him because he accused her of being flippant and unserious... Just file that under "things that make you go...HMMMMM".

I do like him now, he's became much less of an asshole than he used to be. But he's very smart and tells it like it is.

He is light years apart from me on policy and ideas still, but he is at least an old-school Republican, even a Reaganite (who by the way would have been run out of the MAGA insanity by now). Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace are similar to me.

He is being ironic in this post — very, very ironic. Every single one of us here at DU has seen Trump say and do these things on audio and video, and so has Frum.

I actually believe Frum was being very sarcastic. He was saying, yeah ok what other video can you put out that would change this MAGA shit from being a destructive hoard of scum to law abiding, understanding, compassionate citizens…. NOTHING… why? Because we ourselves saw trump mock the handicapped, demeaning US prisoners of war, boasting about sexually assaulting women, praising Vladimir Putin, or urging a violent attack on the US Capitol? And the MAGAs are still on his side. Nothing will change the MAGA views, but the republicans that have pride for their country and community will see and vote Kamala.

does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Trump just says he did it and they sit in the dark and applaud.
