Musk: "Federal workforce should be comprised of employees who strive for excellence in their daily work"

___Among the politicos, Musk is particularly close with his top political advisor, Chris Young, the former GOP field organizer who was originally brought in to advise Musk during Trump’s campaign and currently serves as treasurer of America PAC. Young has turned into Musk’s right hand on all things Washington — from penetrating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to handling personal logistics.

Upon Musk’s request, Young procured a massive TV for Musk’s office in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building so he could play video games, according to a person familiar with the situation granted anonymity to speak freely.

I won't claim I never encountered a loser working for the government. But at least 90% were hard-working people dedicated to the mission of our agency.

I’ve met people who aren’t great at their jobs but it’s due to a lack of effort.

He wants an environment of fear. Everyone constantly on edge. I worked at such an environment in the private sector. Living in a “Ruggt to work” state means everyone is necessarily aware that they can be fired at any time with no reason needed.

The public sector doesn’t work like that. There are no sales in the public sector. There can be outreach but that’s to let people know what services are available. IRS and Social Security customer service can’t call to see if people need assistance. They receive. In fact, forward calls would freak people out as scams.

SpaceX is running 50-50 on whether its recent launches will rapidly unintentionally disassemble.

Tesla is tanking as I type, and will no doubt tank even more as those who don't regard Trump as the Second Coming double down on their boycotts after the White House lawn debacle.

The Boring Company seems to have dug a hole for itself as an admitted scam to kill high-speed rail that, having lost interest in completing all its significant projects in the US, is moving on to fleece the rich rubes in Dubai.

All of these concerns except Twitter have enjoyed generous government subsidies.

And now DOGE is proving to be the most disastrous boondoggle witch hunt in history.

So much excellence. Please, please, it's too much excellence. People can't take it any more, Mr. Musk, it's too much.
