About Trump taking the Panama Canal by military force.

I predicted he would go after Panama for several reasons. I predicted that Trump would eventually run through his big mouth and need a quick win. Using force was an inevitable option. And it's not so much about Panama, as it is about shoring himself up as a tough, powerful man.

Panama was the obvious choice for this, because it really doesn't have a military that would rival the U.S. military. All of the Central American countries would have to bandy around it, and fight back with trade wars.

So, putting that aside, as much as Trump might want to do it, and as much as he has Republican whores in Congress to let him have his way, is there anything that could stop him through Congressional approvals or procedures? He is in essence, starting a war. And it's not like he can use China as an excuse, because the Chinese have willingly withdrawn from the two ports they did own in Panama. This is all about Trump's ego, and has nothing to do with National Security.

And they made a vast personal fortune with that illegal invasion.

A good number of Panamanians approved of it. So naive. They said they would shutter their doors and windows and the US could come in and attack and no one would say anything.

Now, do expect this, because it happens every time. They will find someone in Panama that they can either buy or is incredibly stupid and they will call for the US to come and take the Canal. And the media will post this testimonial over and over to claim that the rest of the country feels the same way.

Even Clinton joined in that vote, although many of us read the same information and reached a different opinion.

Sort of like stepping on a small, helpless animal and breaking it to pieces. But he got some he-man media vibes from it.

I don't believe the American people would go along with a police action (vietnam ring a bell?).

With trumps numbers underwater right now, I can't see how the American people would go for it.

He's too afraid to piss off Xi to actually do anything. It's all just a cheap distraction by a weak and insecure little man, designed to make himself look tough.
