I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Schumer does have the ability to FIGHT,

BUT SCHUMER is NOT FIGHTING as nearly ALL Democratic voters want him to.

I am a New Yorker and a Democrat. I told him that I have supported him and voted for him for years, but if he supports voting for this Republican power grab continuing resolution, I will never again vote for him in a primary or general election. History will remember if we capitulate to Trump and his Republican enablers in the Congress, or if we stood up to them. Both situations are difficult, but we are in a difficult situation. We must use what power we have now to stand up to Trump while we still can.
