The democrats have proven they can't win a messaging war. They can't even pretend win one.

It is always some reason. Or no reason. Or whatever. I am sick to death of it.

The messaging sucks, the rapid response is non existent.

I presume that the only way this will end is by the People Uprising. Just like every other hard fought battle was won. It will not grown from the party. Many of them will have to be brought along kicking and screaming.

We must rely on ourselves. Get involved. Get your signs ready. Get ready for the massive protests that will eventually occur. They will be initiated by ordinary people not elected pols.

Prepare.

Democratic committees are set to host town halls across the country to target vulnerable House Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms. The effort, which has been dubbed “People’s Town Halls,” was launched Friday by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC).

The town halls will target Republican Reps. Juan Ciscomani in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, Gabe Evans in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, Anna Paulina Luna in Florida’s 13th Congressional District, Zach Nunn in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, John James in Michigan’s Nebraska’s 10th Congressional District, Ann Wagner in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, Ryan Mackenzie in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, and Rob Bresnahan in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District.

DNC Chair Ken Martin accused House Republicans of selling out voters “by backing the Trump-Musk agenda.”

“Now they’re terrified to be in the same room as the people who sent them to Washington,” Martin said. “When 217 House Republicans voted for Donald Trump’s billionaire tax handout, each one agreed to destroy Medicaid, keep food from kids and families in need, and target the programs that take care of our veterans – all in service of massive tax breaks for their billionaire donors and wealthy corporations.”

The effort comes after National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) advised House Republicans to avoid in-person town halls in their districts.

Tim Walz is also holding town halls where GOP reps are afraid to go. https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/12/politics/tim-walz-national-tour-town-halls/index.html

This is what we need.

4. Kudos to Bernie, but those are rallies, not townhalls, and he's basically preaching to the choir.

The rallies are called "Fighting Oligarchy," and they won't be attracting many Republican or independent voters - just Democrats and progressives who already approve of the message. What Ken Martin and Tim Walz are doing is different - they are setting up town halls in GOP districts where the GOP reps have been warned not to go because their own constituents are angry. They are taking the Democrats' message to MAGA.

9. Martin's DNC town halls are scheduled to start in the next few weeks.

Eventually, the DNC says it intends to hit all 50 states, but thus far, town halls are scheduled for Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Pennsylvania. Each one targets a specific competitive House district currently held by a Republican, such as Rep. Juan Ciscomani’s 6th Congressional District in battleground Arizona.

it needs a good PR firm, some bots, and a good communicator like Pete or Stacy to run it. Why won't we just do it? It's not even very expensive. We've had a messaging problem since Dean stopped organizing our messaging.

What are we waiting for?
