Making the point that ordinary people are out there risking their livelihoods and freedom to stand up to this administration. It is not their "day job", but it is the Democratic leadership's day job.
That's what is so infuriating. And although I sympathize and agree with people who are calling on ordinary people to make their voices heard, they have been. And they are risking a lot when this administration would love nothing better than to put them in jail.
They shouldn't have the entire burden placed on them. It's dangerous
and unfair. Democratic leaders need to back them up in every way possible. It is NOT too much to ask.

(780 posts)Here we have 8 Dem Senators able to override -- completely negate -- the will of 38 Dem Senators and 100% of the House Dems.
The first step must be to replace Schumer with somebody who will respect the overwhelming majority of his caucus. Schumer was already on thin ice. Now he really must go. It is time for those 38 to stand up and address this problem. We will never get back in the game with Schumer in control.
