Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsTrump has finally become a real billionaire, his goal is to become a trillionaire.
Trump has monetized the office of president to become vastly wealthy.
Michael Cohen, Trump's long time advisor, says Trump's goal is to become a trillionaire.
A couple of days ago I made a post about one of the MSNBC financial pundits saying Trump
is probably now a real billionaire. Pundit alluding to Trump's current crypto grifting.
(I posted it in the middle of the night, and it was suggested I post it again during
the day when more would see it. And add more material.

But we know there is more than his crypto grifting, he is grifting off of the tariff scheme too.
Market manipulation, insider trading, etc. It is rumored the Trump and his children are increasing
their wealth greatly with the tariff scams.
It is also rumored that when Trump extorts countries and various American groups,
they are forced into business deals with the Trump spawn.
We know the law firms will now have to provide free legal services to Trump, his family and friends.
This is worth $millions.
So Trump is feathering his nest big time by extorting cash and benefits from various
countries and American groups. Law firms, universities, TV networks, individuals, selling pardons, etc.
He and Musk have fired many of the US federal workforce. That budget is $6.75 trillion
a year. Are they tapping into that cash flow now?
Trump and Musk made a visit to Ft Knox recently. For someone with Trump's gold fetish,
it would have been very tempting.
Trump believes that all US assets are his. During the Covid pandemic Jared Kushner stated
that all government owned medical equipment belonged to him and Trump, and he sold
tax payer funded equipment and Covid tests to foreign entities for large amounts of cash.
We can be certain that cash went into Trump's pockets.
So what US assets is Trump selling now?
We know Trump stole top secret material when he left office after his first term.
Certainly he was selling some of it. Trump is not one to let a good cash deal get away from him.
His goal to invade Greenland and take over Canada is about money for himself.
Trump does nothing unless there is a personal benefit.
I think we can assume Tump is making money off the El Salvador prison scheme.
But that is another OP.
What other schemes has he cooked up to enrich himself and his offspring?
Trump is not the US president, he is the mob boss for the Trump Crime Syndicate.

(49,994 posts)It was all a fake schtick.
This seems to me a pump and dump similar to the debt-growth-bankruptcy-rebirth capitalist cycle. Once the country has nothing left to steal, load it with debt then steal all the private assets to pay for it. Might even get to do it twice. And all the European-legacy and US investment bankers will be along for the fees involved. The original colonists - whether you take that to be Virginia, Plymouth, or other explorers from the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain - were capitalist ventures. Royalty granted a license, raised capital, hired convicts and preachers, and off they went. So celebrate! We're still venture capitalists!

(3 posts)Hello. New here.
Here is a good summary of trump grifting at this morning's NYT:
He may banktrumpt casinos and other businesses, but he almost always does just fine for himself.

(19,127 posts)If the dollar loses half its value compared to other currencies, then yes, Elon Musk could technically become a trillionaire, assuming the collapse of the dollar doesnt cause all his businesses to fail, and all his investments to become devalued as well.
