Maybe we should call pensions "golden parachutes", then Retrumplicans would support them

Saw a story that House Returdlicans are going after federal employees retirement, because...of course they are!

Wake up! The attacks on Civil Servants have NOTHING to do with "efficiency".

They are going after Civil Servants, because they are one of the last, largest workforce that hasn't become "oh master job-creator, I'm just fucking thankful I have a job" lemmings.

I think of the jobs my parents generation had. Ones where your wages and purchasing power could put you solidly in the Middle Class. Jobs where you could actually get ahead, where you could supplement retirement with Social Security and Medicare, and live out your "golden years" with some fucking dignity. The Retrumplican Party hates those jobs.

They want employees so fucking afraid, that they will gladly give up overtime pay, pensions, benefits, and any semblance of dignity, just to be "thankful they have a fucking job."

I have said this before, but in 1980, I made, the equivalent in today's money, $96K a year working full-time as a Stock Clerk in a grocery store in Ohio. I saw people that bought modest suburban homes and sent their kids to college on that job.

Returdlicans never have a cross word to say about millionaire "job creators" that run companies into ruin, only to walk away with a multi-million dollar "golden parachute".

Everyone else that ends up with some "benefits" is described as a "Lucky-Ducky".

What pisses me off the most, are the 10's of millions of poor and Middle Class Americans that continue to vote for these cons.
