'We'll burn Jews like Hitler did': BBC contributor in Gaza celebrates Jewish civilian death

BBC Arabic journalist Samer Elzaenen has called for Jews to be burned “as Hitler did,” The Telegraph quoted him as saying in a Saturday report.

Elzaenen, 33, who has been reporting from Gaza, has been posting a series of statements on social media that condemns Jewish people, and has also called for violence against them, the Telegraph added, noting that his social media activity in the past 10 years has endorsed and celebrated more than 30 attacks on Israeli Jewish civilians.

He has appeared on the Arabic-language branch of the UK public broadcaster more than a dozen times since Hamas's terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. He called the Hamas terrorists who entered Israel that day "resistance fighters."

For at least ten years.
Or more likely you saw it and didn’t care because it didn’t fit your narrative/agenda.

...for WELL OVER 10 years.

That begets hatred and terrorism and a desire for revenge.

We saw it on Oct 7th and we've also been watching it every day since.

for that. It should have been said. Revenge on both sides is costing lives but we are providing Nuttyahoo with the deadlier weapons that kill thousands more. It’s never right to want another Holocaust and it’s never right to kill innocent Palestinians instead of working to create a two state solution to bring peace

Hatred, passed on from generation to generation, begets hatred. Terrorism, passed on from generation to generation, begets terrorism. Blood lust, passed on from generation to generation, begets blood lust.

As we have clearly seen on October 7.

Hamas, the ones who orchestrated the hideous atrocities on October 7…

As they said: the tunnels were to protect Hamas fighters; civilian aid should take care of civilians. They were hoping for Hezbollah to attack from Lebanon and for the Palestinians from the West Bank to surround Israel with fire to eventually annihilate it.

All they had to do was to release the hostages, dead and alive and this could have ended long time ago.

however.... anyone who now enters Israel with the intent of thus defending what is left of Gaza,
even via armed violence,
could most accurately be called "resistance fighters".

I'm done with Israel, until their nation begins to act more like human beings than the nazis who previously murdered them.
The "Holocaust defense" has worn out it's welcome with me-- especially when used to justify "offense" against civilians.

with defending Gaza.

Their intent, which their leaders repeated on record many times, was to cause destruction in Gaza.

And they are still at it. And they are still terrorists. And Holocaust is still a historical fact, not a defense. And conflating Israel with Nazis is still antisemitic.

Their intent, which their leaders repeated on record many times, was to cause destruction in Gaza.

It was like Rosewood or Tulsa - destruction of a people for the sake of destruction. If you want a political solution - you bring a chair and sit down at the table. If you want a violent solution - you do what they did.

Did every Palestinian want this? No. But they are all paying the price for evil.

I hear calls for Netanyahu stepping down as the only solution.

That's one sided. Hamas must cede power too - and cede it to the Palestinian Authority. Even Americans want to condemn Israel without condemning men who cut off the breast of a woman while raping her.

I expect both parties to make concessions.

...how about all the nuclear weapon armed countries just set a date to get out and turn the entire Middle East into glass. If they go back, well, cancer will get them.

I know, I know, this the Soloman solution.

But, I never understood the concept of how dirt can be holy, particularly in this area where you can't even step some where that blood has not been shed.

How many lives have to be lost and resources spent for a patch of desert?

Sorry, I just don't see religion as a reason to kill each other or continue hatred. For me anyway, its the opposite.

I have no connections to the Middle East, never been there, speak no Semitic languages.

My younger daughter and her family do have friends there, or at least who have part time residences there. They happened to be visiting some of them on October 7th, would have “been there” if they had found a baby sitter. Two of their friends were the ones in the famous incident where two guys in a car ran over and killed two assailants chasing them on a motorcycle, shooting at them with machine guns.

None of them were dancing around and celebrating at any Arab injuries or deaths, not even the ones who escaped the motorcycle attack. No matter the reality on the ground, as long as there are those who openly celebrate the violent death of Israelis, while there will be no dancing in the streets of Jerusalem or Central Park over children dying in Gaza, as long as there gleeful articles such as the one from this BBC “journalist,” I can well imagine that the impulse to condemn Israeli actions will continue to be subdued in some circles.
