CNN correspondent says settlers attacked his crew while reporting on Israeli violence in West Bank

A CNN reporter says his crew was attacked by settlers while they were in the West Bank on Monday to cover the death of a 20-year-old Palestinian-American who was allegedly beaten to death by Israelis near Ramallah several days ago.

“As we were covering this story, my team and I were attacked by Israeli settlers. The back window of our vehicle was smashed, but we managed to escape unharmed,” tweets CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond.

“This is just a sliver of the reality many Palestinians face in the West Bank amid rising settler violence.”

Earlier this month, two reporters from Deutsche Welle were injured in an attack by settlers in the same area.

Isn't that the popular misleading way to label people who are fighting for their own country or land 🤔

Dontcha know?

Surely if anyone can be called terrorists the settlers sure can. They are terrorizing Palestinians every day, trying to get them to leave and then taking their land.Their ideology of "this land was given to us by God" so fuck off - is just as sick as what they accuse Islam to be, establishing a "caliphate".

Supporting these terrorists as Israel/IDF does, makes Israel a state-sponsor of terrorism, no?

By Jeremy Diamond and Kareem Khadder, CNN

https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/14/middleeast/palestinian-american-beaten-funeral-intl

"... Musallet was one of two men killed that day by settlers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, while they were in the neighboring town of Sinjil, where their families own farmland.

Hundreds turned out on Sunday, braving the afternoon sun, for the funeral processions of the two men, carrying their bodies to their final resting place. Some mourners openly wept, burying their faces in the Palestinian flags wrapped around the bodies.

... But for at least two hours, no ambulance could reach him. Settlers were still roaming the area and had already shattered the windshield of an ambulance that day. On the other side, the Israeli military was firing tear gas to disperse the crowd of Palestinians and refusing to allow the ambulances to pass for hours.

By the time the ambulance reached Musallet, his face was blue, and he had stopped breathing..."

nor the moral clarity to promote justice in the middle east. We have never paid the piper. We bury the past and ask people to accept it while we continue our motives and tactics.

The settlers act like US. Netanyahu acts like US. Putin acts like US.

We are the example of expedience. Profit over justice. Bullets and beatings over bread and butter.

Evil sits besides us at dinner.
