Trump's approval rating on inflation compared to Biden's

According to a graphic on MSNBC citing a June 2025 Fox poll, trump's currently at -30 percent approval on inflation. That is the same as Biden's -30 approval on that same issue in December, 2024.

However, unlike Biden, trump deserves the poor rating because his insane tariffs actually are causing inflation.

So there's some low hanging fruit, Dems. Let's hit this one hard and in very blunt terms.

He claimed that Trump may eventually be blamed for inflation “just as Biden was”, without pointing out, as you did, there’s a BIG difference. The 2022 inflation was the result of Trump’s poor handling of the pandemic and worldwide inflation trends. In fact, our inflation rate was lower than that in many other nations, and definitely not attributable to bad actions by Biden. According to many expert economists, current inflation and expected future inflation are directly traceable to tariffs and the debt created by BBB—directly tied to Trump’s actions.

Biden’s approval was at 30% after reducing inflation from a high of about 9% in June 2022 to around 3% — roughly where it is now — in Dec 2024.

But Trump is just getting started, and he’s at 30%. If inflation keeps rising — which it might, because of the tariffs — then his approval will only go lower.

And to me, the most significant part is that a very credible case can be made for trump actually causing the inflation, unlike for Biden. It's up to the Dems to make it, though.
