Spotted in my deep red part of town

The next door neighbor of a friend and former co-worker has been full MAGA. The neighbor has had two flags as banners; one if a tRump/Vance 2024 flag and the other is a 'fight fight fight' from the staged assassination attempt. Both are bookmarked by American flags on flag poles.

This was the way the house looked earlier in the week. This evening, we drove down this street on the way home and drove past this house. The only thing remaining was the two American Flags; the trump MAGA flags were gone.

Hoping against hope that they had a leopard eating their face moment or, at least, disgust with the Epstein situation.

They just don’t agree and get why he and Bondi/Kash are hiding it. That’s where their anger is right now.

Just south of where I grew up, there's a cluster of pretty ratty apartment buildings. Until recently one apartment had a "Fuck Joe Biden" flag on a pole.

Until one day I drove by and saw a whole pile of cardboard boxes and furniture stacked in the parking lot, with the "Fuck Joe Biden" flag draped over the top of the stack.

When we drove by this week it was taken down. It was with some other stuff next to his driveway with a "free" sign next to it. Yesterday it was gone.

Prices are not dropping, in fact they're rising.

Jobs are not flooding into the U.S., in fact workers are being deported.

Farmers are getting hit from all sides and every one of the challenges is caused or worsened by Trump.

People who voted for isolationism see that we're still supporting Israel and Ukraine in their wars.

People who voted for Palestinian freedom see that things are worse than ever in Gaza.

The Big Beautiful Bill doesn't help anybody but billionaires and we haven't seen the worst of it yet.

Rural hospitals are closing, people are still getting very sick with COVID. There's no place closer than hours of driving to have a baby for women living in rural towns. They'll arrest you if you have a miscarriage.

Universities are laying off scientists and turning away graduate students. After decades of promoting STEM, the federal government turned its back on science.

The weather is unbearably hot in most of the country and there are floods. FEMA and the NWS are crippled.

Mail delivery is awful.

Oh and planes keep crashing.

And so on.

I don't think the dead and wounded from that tragedy think it was a staged event.

It's clear no one cared if Trumpers got hurt or killed, it was all a staged event. So was the one in Florida, and everything else that happened or could have happened.

You stand with fascists, sooner or later you're going to get gunned down. That's what history shows us, and history repeats. Ask Hitler how that shit turned out for him and his precious Eva. Or Mussolini and his mistress. In the end, we win. It may not last long, because humanity is crazy and likes this kind of shit, but for a decade or so we can have nice things.
