How and when the Journal reveals more, and Fox News starts to flip is up to Rupert, but there is no other explanation for revealing the birthday letter at the end of the second week of the Epstein Files scandal.

Epstein.
In a manner consistent with picking the least terminal of afflictions to portray Trump as having, they sorted through what could be seen as being from the so-called Epstein Files for the biggest meh document they could find and make a big headline grabbing deal of it. The drawing described may be in poor taste, but it can be waved off as Trump being Trump. It has nothing to do with the accusations of pedophilia and human trafficking and may have even been provided by Trump himself.

That's something.

(28,869 posts)My opinion about the Epstein hits on Krasnov is that it originates with Putin. You won't find a link, just my opinion.
Musk started this right after Krasnov started trash talking Putin over Ukraine. Krasnov threatened to do a deal where the EU bought US arms to be shipped to Ukraine. Krasnov talked about putting sanctions on any country that does business with Russia.
I guarantee that Putin has the goods on Krasnov and Epstein. I also guarantee that Musk let Krasnov know what will happen if he makes that deal with the EU and does the sanctions.
There will be no Patriot missiles sent to Ukraine as a matter of fact Congressional Magats have written a bill to not send any weapons to Ukraine through 2028. There will be no sanctions on Russia.
The close ties between Krasnov and Epstein is no secret, it can be proven, but it has been covered up until Krasnov threatened Putin.
I'm also sure that Putin has dirt on Murdoch. The war was going badly for Putin, Russia's economy is tanking and Krasnov threatened to make it worse so his puppet master had to pull his strings.

(28,869 posts)Do you have a date when the Patriot missiles will be shipped, or a date for any other arms? If Krasnov had a deal with the EU why did Congressional Magats write a bill to not send any arms to Ukraine?
When will the sanctions be put on countries that deal with Russia? Do you have a date?

(57,143 posts)Nor can I find any info about this ban you heard about. You'll have to share a link with us because I can't find one and I haven't heard explicitly about such a specific ban.
The missiles thing is NATO, not EU.

(28,869 posts)The NY Times has an article out today about a party at Mar-a-Lago featuring young calendar girls, has the name of the business financier of the party who was shocked when the only other guest to the party was Jeffrey Epstein.
Krasnov's best attribute is his ability to control the narrative and he is losing it physically and mentally over the Epstein news cycle that won't go away. This is one of the biggest problems for Krasnov during his term, making light of it misses the point.
Putin is driving this.

(57,143 posts)I'm not talking about 2016. I'm talking about 2025.
It's always easy to invoke a grand manipulator in the shadows and offer no direct real evidence. There are many ways in which this Epstein thing is unfolding and none of them have anything to do with purported Russian manipulation of US media giants.

(34,071 posts)And, that of Wall Street, itself. They all are aware of the economic forecasts, which, thanks to Trump's actions, are predicted to be devastating to business (and the rest of us.) Looks like they're trying to kill off their monster they created before he ruins them all.
Granted, it's hard to ignore Trump's blatant physical and mental deterioration. Especially when he is constantly blasting out his lunacy.

People need to look at the big picture. Even if the epstein stuff takes trump down, that won't stop the direction we are headed.

Rupert Murdoch, in all his deviousness, isn't one to be crossed.

(20,068 posts)The letter was revealed on the same day the GENIUS act came up for a vote in the house, erasing what little coverage there was of the bill.
102 Dems in the house voted yes, 18 Dem senators did.
The bill deregulates cryptocurrency and gives a sheen of legitimacy to a financial Ponzi pyramid scheme whose primary purpose is to launder money and evade taxes from illegal activities such as sex trafficking and drug and arms dealing.
This bill risks further destabilization of the US dollar as the worlds reserve currency. The dollar has already lost 10% of its value in the past six months, the steepest decline since Nixon ended the gold standard in 1973.
So, rather than Murdoch deciding to take Trump down (which isnt going to happen, at least not forcing him to resign or triggering an impeachment and removal), I think having the #1 financial and business publication in the country distract from the passage of a law that stands to generate massive profits for the oligarchs at the expense of the stability of the US and world economy, that is a more plausible motivation IMO.
