"Sycamore Gap Tree - From Roots to Ruin" (BBC documentary - 30 minutes)

Saw this on BBC World News yesterday. If you watch it you may want to put closed captioning on...

A single sycamore tree, growing in a natural dip in the countryside along Hadrian's Wall, came to symbolise a community. When the people of Northumberland wake to discover it has been chopped down overnight, it leads to a news story that makes headlines around the world. Who destroyed the tree at Sycamore Gap and why?

I felt sad for this tree’s demise, and angry that there are people who destroyed it.

BBC is the British version of PBS. Our current administration is gutting PBS and threatening major media outlets to censor their content, allowing for only Fox News and other approved sources of propaganda. Stories like this would never be told.
