My daughter was at a Tim Horton's in Canada over the weekend

She struck up a conversation with one of the employees who told her she recently visited the U.S. The customs agent asked what she thought of our (p)Resident. After she said she wasn't a fan, she was told she was banned from entering the country again for five years and put on a watch list. WTF? Is this even legal?

but it is sadly revealing about how thoroughly the rot has penetrated all the nooks and crannies of our democracy.

directly contradicts the Constitution.

She probably can't prove that CBP actually put her on a U.S. Watchlist, but the Canadian embassy can get CPB records and the name of the CPB border agent who spoke with her.

Anyone coming into this country had better have their home country's embassy number here and their state dept number back there. If what US border agent said can be proven there are grounds for hostile action against a Canadian citizen.

it up, or the customs agent was pulling her leg. Sadly, the way things are going, I would not be surprised if this kind of thing really does happen in the not too distant future.

This would be easily provable and I'm sure would have to be documented here, if not there.
I'd love to believe it because I'm sure Trump would have that as policy, maybe I'm just one of those who can't see that red line crossed easily.
There are enough investigative journalists around that would love to look into that professionally.
Let's let these stories be based on facts, rather than hearsay.
Just sayin'

If someone’s past behavior, online activity, or simple answers during inspection raise concerns, unlawful or not, they can be refused entry without a clear explanation. Cannot remember the name, but in June, a Scandinavian tourist was deported after Customs discovered a meme mocking VP vance on his phone. Customs confiscated the phone, fingerprinted him, took blood samples, questioned him about terrorism and drug smuggling, and ultimately sent him back to Norway the same day

Not what I would call a friendly nation to fly into.
