(93,434 posts)And Georgia:
In this case, there are six Republicans and one Democrat in this GOP-leaning district. With that party imbalance, it is plausible that the lone Democrat will get enough support, while the Republican vote is split, to make it through to a runoff.
Polls close at 7:00 PM ET.

This is a very good sign.
Thank you Iowa Democrats for working hard to turn this around!

(842 posts)The cities are mostly democratic. The western part of the state is super nazi/republican, even for rural areas. Then the other rural shitholes, mostly inbred, uneducated, meth addicts out there. They all became political experts since facebook/trump became a thing.

(15,910 posts)From Yahoo..
Catelins agenda of fully funding public schools, affordable childcare and housing, and putting money in the pockets of working Iowans is a clear rejection of the Republican agenda led by Kim Reynolds and the Senate Republicans that have failed Iowans, Weiner said. This win shows that when Democrats fight for Iowa working families, when we get out and listen to Iowans, when we field people who care deeply about their communities, we can win anywhere, including in Northwest Iowa.

(15,910 posts)That means Republicans will need support from at least one Democratic senator to confirm Reynolds' nominees to state agencies, boards and commissions in the final year of her term.
