2. Here is the transcript. I have found reading his words to be more powerful than the video.

Yesterday in Minneapolis, two children were slaughtered during mass. 17 more were wounded. And America carried on like it always does, burying the dead in whispers while politicians flex their jaws for cameras. It's the same tired routine, thoughts and prayers and hearts going out and well practiced tremble in the voice as they say that they can't imagine the grief. But the truth is that millions of Americans don't have to imagine it. They live with the empty bedroom and the quiet seat at the table. And the blurred days that follow the instant their lives were shattered by a bullet. And by Saturday, the headlines will fade and the names will be forgotten by the very people elected to protect them. And the candles they promised to light will remain cold because their soundbite already bought them the 15 seconds of televised compassion they needed.

Meanwhile, the rest of us woke up today and packed lunches and tied shoes and kissed foreheads before sending our children into schools that feel less like places of learning and more like stages where we all wait for the next act of carnage. The sick irony is that people most capable of changing this blood soaked script are the ones least likely to give a goddamn. They hide behind that sacred cow of the American mythology, the Second Amendment. But the Second Amendment doesn't say guns. It says arms and armaments are instruments of war and weapons and their accessories. And the founders weren't dreaming of your AR-15 cosplay soldier fantasies. They are writing about defense against tyranny, against government overreach, against empire. And here's the kicker. Your right to bear arms is already infringed. And if you don't believe me, try to buy ammonium nitrate in bulk. Try googling how to make a bomb and see how fast you end up on a federal watch list. Try buying a stinger missile or a tank and see how the market treats you.

Guns have been carved out as a golden calf of freedom, not because they're the heart of the Second Amendment, but because Smith and Wesson and Glock have quarterly numbers to meet. You've been sold a goddamn lie dressed up as liberty. And when you parrot the line that the gun was purchased legally to defend the indefensible, you're not making the case for freedom. You're
making a case for stricter laws. Because if the system that hands out these weapons keeps delivering them into the hands of murderers, then the system is broken and broken things must be fixed or else they bury us. So to the chest thumping patriots that
scream one is too many when it comes to immigration, I ask you, where is that fury when it comes to children bleeding on church floors? Where's your outrage when the classrooms of America double as training grounds for lockdown drills? You don't get to
wag your finger about liberty when our children are growing up in a world where the sound of a slammed locker door can trigger panic.

And as a father of school age children and a responsible gun owner, let me say this to you plainly. fuck your high-capacity magazines. And fuck your tactical frames and your toys designed to spray death with military efficiency. fuck your constitutional carry nonsense that lets anyone strap steel without training, registration, or waiting periods. If you want freedom, then fight for children to have the freedom to grow up without nightmares of active shooters. If you want to scream about symbols,
save your Cracker Barrel logo outrage for a cause that actually fucking matters, because children's lives are not the price tag for your fragile need to play soldier. Let the names of these children echo louder than the hollow words of the cowards in suits. And let their memory weigh heavier than the lobbyist checks. And let's stop pretending this is anything but a choice. Because every massacre that follows this is not an accident of fate. It is a decision that's made and remade by leaders who would rather protect profits than children.
Defiance till death.

Its a transcript not an article. While I did not do the transcript itself it still took a while for me to put together and quite a bit of effort to format it so that it looks the way it does. Some people may not have that ability to do so and I do not fault them for that. Just glad I could so people could also read it. Reading it does impart something that the video does not to me though. I can stop on a sentence and re-read it so that it impacts me more.
This part hit me hard.

You're

Thanks!
