(769 posts)To be done with every Republican. Just look at Texas. They called a special session to help the flood victims, but instead they launched an extremist power grab to keep themselves in power. The flood victims still have no help.

(6,826 posts)Democrats have flipped 2 state Senate seats in Iowa this year with vote swings of over 20%. Ernst won in 2020 by just about 6.5%. And the Republican Governor is the least popular Governor in he country.

Poll: Kim Reynolds remains Americas most unpopular governor
by Paul Brennan
Jul 17, 2025
Reynolds has ranked the least popular governor in every Morning Consult tracking poll for over two years.
Reynolds is still the most unpopular: With the highest disapproval rating of any U.S. governor (49%), Kim Reynolds of Iowa remains Americas most unpopular governor for the sixth quarter in a row, Morning Consult said an summary of the poll findings. The Republican, who announced in April that she will not seek re-election next year, is the only governor with a net negative approval rating.
Reynolds decision not to run for reelection, which she announced in early April, did nothing to improve her standing in the poll of Iowans. Her disapproval rating in the previous Morning Consult poll was also 49 percent.
