The UFC's unprecedented card at the White House appears to officially be happening.
UFC CEO Dana White announced on social media that he had productive meetings at the White House on Thursday and indicated they are really moving forward with the spectacle for next year's Fourth of July celebration:
"We had the meeting at the White House. Could not have gone better. This is going to be awesome. The White House fight is on. Ill have more details on that in the next couple weeks, but we got it done today.
The card is part of the Trump administration's America250 celebration, honoring the semiquincentennial anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. President Donald Trump, who has ties to White and the UFC going back decades, floated the idea around this year's Fourth of July and the two sides quickly started working things out.

And Trump's white trashification of America continues.

(28,760 posts)I actually enjoy MMA, but refuse to watch any UFC events since about 2022.
There is a Main Card with the big name fighters with a main event for teh most exciting matchup and maybe championship for the weight class, then an undercard with good but lower-ranked fighters, then a prelim card that starts it off with newer fighters or older fighters who are meh now but have a following.
Again, I will not be watching this.
Main Event: Chip verus Dale (Chipmunkweight Championship)
Minnie vs Daisy (Women's Disneyweight Championship)
Main Card: Pluto vs Goofy (Doggoweight)
Lucifer vs. Cheshire Cat (Kittyweight)
Undercard
etc.
Prelims
etc
I am just using Disney characters, of course, not fighters, although I've heard Dale can throw a mean armbar.

Of course this will be the debutante ball for all the neo-nazis practicing mixed martial arts in their "sports clubs" all over the country.
Edited to add background in case people aren't familiar with the Active Club movement:
