On Susan Collins:

As a former "traditional GOP" person myself, that's probably the most delusional sentence I've read in a while.

he wasn't - he voted over 90% of the time with Republicans. She's only a traditional Republican if you consider the Republican party to have started with Reagan.

“Democrat Graham Platner, the oyster farmer trying to oust Maine’s long-time Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins in 2026, announced Thursday that his campaign has raised $1 million in his first nine days in the race.

According to his campaign, Platner’s average donation was $33 dollars, with 98% of donations under $100. His campaign has also recruited more than 2,700 volunteers who will help with phone banking, text banking, and door knocking operations.”

-

“Platner has teamed up with U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent from Vermont who describes himself as a democratic socialist, and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Troy Jackson for an upcoming Labor Day rally in Portland.”
