Russian GPS jamming targeted European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's jet as it tried to land at an airport in Bulgaria, the Financial Times reported, citing unnamed officials briefed on the incident.

The jamming of GPS at Plovdiv's city airport forced von der Leyen's jet to circle the airport for an hour, the report said, before the pilot had to rely on paper maps to land instead of electronic navigation.

Newsweek has contacted the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the European Union for comment via email. Newsweek has also contacted the European Commission for comment via email.

Putin will destroy them in one way or the other.

Unless they start fighting back it is not going to go well for them.

CIA specialists on Russia 10 days after meeting with Putin. Before meeting Putin in Alaska, Trump had been scolding Putin for a few weeks. That didn't last long.

Making high level European officials circle around airports endlessly is not a safe.

They can at least try to stay one step ahead of Putin.

And now they are one!

The MAGA memory dissolves so quickly, as does the MAGA loyalty to American principles, laws, and asperations.

To say it clearly: MAGA, all MAGA, are traitors to everything this Country stands for. Traitors, dammit. Traitors.

In contested or jammed GPS environments (e.g., due to Russian interference), only military-grade receivers with SAASM/M-Code capability and/or anti-jam features can maintain operational navigation. These include:

DAGR as a field-proven handheld option

Embedded receivers like MPE-M and MicroGRAM-M for platform integration

Modern solutions such as TruTrak-M Type I/II for assured PNT

Spaceborne systems like Sentinel for satellite platforms
