The wild card for the 2026 Midterm:

despite attempts to redistrict in some states, Independents and non-MAGA Republicans (who have had enough) will either not vote for Republican congressional representatives or hold their noses and vote for Democrats.

They will vote, but not enthusiastically. More likely, the motivation is greater for voting against Trump vicariously.

5. I think the folks who chant "both parties are the same" and "Democrats are corrupt" contribute to that false narrative.

Texas wouldn’t be redistricting if the GOP plan was to cancel elections, which would result in Texas, and the other states, having zero representation in the House.

I hope you’re right but I think there are far fewer non-MAGA Republicans than you think there are.

TACO Don's base will have dwindled down by several tens of millions across the states.

When people realize that everything costs more, but wages and jobs are not keeping up, they will revolt. Once Martial Law has been implemented, even the 2nd Amendment folks are going to feel pain they have never felt before. For it will be TACO Don who has taken their guns away, not the Democrats!

What was it from Charlton Heston as he held up a rifle at an NRA gathering? "From my cold dead hands."

Dems have the advantage despite gerrymandering, an advantage that will only grow as the economy worsens.

14. 90.000.000 voters didn't do any of that last November

NO. I do not want to be negative or a "defeatist."

So as soon as I have even the slightest indication that those 90,000,000 people will do the right thing next November, I'll change my tune.

Once someone exhibits a specific form of behavior, I never "give them credit in advance" for doing the right thing the next time they are called upon.

Yeah. Non-MAGAt Republicans and Independents are a wild card. And I don't know how many registered Democrats were in that 90,000,000.

But their doing what you suggest is not something I'm expecting without some proof beyond "They MIGHT do it."
