Had to travel quite a ways out-of-state, since my state is one of the 16 where the shot is not available (for now/ever?), and had to pay out-of-pocket, since it wasn't covered by Medicare Part B or Part D (for now/ever?), but got it done. I'm hoping to get reimbursed by Medicare if/when Medicare covers the cost, but not counting on it.

a bit over $200, versus the gas and time to travel fairly far, and the unknown of it ever being covered.

(353 posts)Glad to hear you were able to get your Covid shot even though you had to travel out-of-state. I may be doing that too. I live in New Mexico and the CVS here is hopeful but is waiting for confirmation. Depending on who you talk to, some really think the vaccine will be available soon and others don't want to count on it.
I have to determine where I can go in case we don't have availability here. Not a good feeling.
