Trump’s new Leader of BLS didn’t or couldn’t sugar coat the truth for him.

2. When they start cooking the books, it will be really obvious

There are dedicated and honest people who have been crunching these numbers for years and will resign en masse when they're asked to fake the numbers.

Trump's new BLS lead hasn't had time to do much yet, but perhaps they just decide to only give quarterly numbers going forward.

And I do believe they'll cook the numbers, we will know they are cooking them, but after a couple months, the corporate media will stop covering that these numbers are cooked and just report them as if they're legit.

And a lot of people don't understand why these numbers are so important. It's not just about how the economy is doing, but there are all sorts of safe guards built into our economy that get triggered by the BLS numbers.

Fred trump really did some damage to a poor young Donnie years ago.

He absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for any of his actions.

We are now living in country run by the dysfunction of the trump family.

4. I fully expect the cooking to start by the end of the year, or January at the latest

And the damage will be enormous. When unemployment is really 10%, but the BLS reports 2% with 500,000 new jobs created every month, it will absolutely devastate working families.

And we're seriously looking at stagflation. This will be worse than Bush's 2008 disaster and it's all completely self inflicted. I've been screaming for 7 months how businesses cannot grow under this much uncertainty. And here we have it, layoffs are ongoing, hiring has slowed to nothing. And prices will start to rise even more soon too.

So next year, millions of families will be out of work which the BLS cooked numbers tell everyone everything is great so the triggers to protect working families in tough times never get tripped. Food banks will be empty. Unemployment benefits will be brief and small. Even your state government has triggers to help people that key off the BLS numbers.

Protect yourself and your family now. Save save save. Can food. Learn to cut expenses. Now is the time to act to protect yourself.

7. Trump's nominee for new BLS Commissioner has not been confirmed yet.

He is not yet able to do anything yet. Currently there is an "Acting" Commissioner (Bill Wiatrowski) who is a long-time BLS employee and has previously served as Acting commissioner a couple times. Bill is a very honest man and will not participate in falsifying data. It is possible Trump tries to fire Wiatrowski now but that remains to be seen. Such a move would be a disaster for Trump.

8. What I saw on CNN was that this was the first report under a "new" BLS leader.

Which is true -- the BLS currently is currently led by an acting Commissioner who took the place of the one fired by Trump. But the acting Commissioner is not the person that Trump has nominated for the position and who hasn't yet been confirmed.

Somewhat vague and sloppy by CNN, but not inaccurate either.

10. Right. But the thing is, the Acting Commissioner has served as Acting Commissioner a couple times previously

and has been serving as Deputy Commissioner so he's not exactly "new" either.

In fact, they just published this article 2 days ago which implies he may be out before he ever even gets in.

Trump’s pick to lead BLS ran Twitter account with sexually degrading, bigoted attacks

President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics operated a since-deleted Twitter account that featured sexually degrading attacks on Kamala Harris, derogatory remarks about gay people, conspiracy theories, and crude insults aimed at critics of President Donald Trump.

E.J. Antoni, a 37-year-old economist for the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation, posted the comments from approximately 2017 through 2020 under a series of usernames and display names. CNN verified that all of Antoni’s posts came from the same Twitter account and that the posts from the anonymous aliases shared strikingly similar biographical details as Antoni.

An outspoken critic of the nonpartisan BLS, which calculates US job growth and unemployment figures, Antoni is a stout Trump loyalist. NBC News reported and CNN confirmed that he was a “bystander” at the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. There is no evidence he entered the Capitol.

Antoni, who is not currently leading the bureau, faces a difficult Senate confirmation process. His nomination must first pass through the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee, which counts moderate Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins as members.
