4. AI did it.

And has done it to many and fucked their businesses over with no customer service and no access to contact anyone yet meta keeps charging their accounts while they have waited months for a response. The news channel also tried to contact them and they are still waiting too.

She requested a review; the automated reply said they'd respond "soon"; they still haven't. It seems to be AI making crappy decisions, and Meta doesn't employ enough humans to check or review the results (many others have similar experiences).

Whether it's just crappy tech, or if they've tweaked their AI to suck up to climate change denier Trump, who knows? They've decided they don't need to reply.

I believe an algorithm may have picked up on something so innocuous as ‘damage’ or some other word in her report on hurricanes that was construed as ‘violence’. More likely, it’s the phrase ‘climate change’ whut dunnit.

Meanwhile, some basement-dweller could co-opt her image and voice to create a naughty and/or subservient bot, which would probably fly below the AI radar.

It will prove far more detrimental to humanity than any achievements that come from it.

any potential "pros" of social media by a massive margin.

Much to my disappointment (but not my surprise), most of the world failed to see that.

people thought I had already slid into some cyber hole because I availed myself of the tools I had available, locating files by incredibly byzantine and time-consuming means, establishing connections with researchers around the world, and exploring a new frontier. As time passed and social media platforms gained popularity, I was appalled at how much commercialism had corrupted it. I deleted it all eventually, keeping only a mere whisp of an online presence so I don’t miss birthdays.

... of all the tech bros – including Zuckerschmuck – enjoying dinner with Trump, could not see below the tablecloth to show the gold-painted knee pads they were issued at the door in anticipation of after-dinner... um, festivities. Yeah, let's go with festivities.

Alternate Meteorology or something without a .gov extension. Maybe funds could be raised monthly on a very limited basis to pay for it a month at a time.

I guess DeSatan wants them dead: no warnings, no vaccines, no FEMA, just die. I guess the National Guard will roll by calling out, "Bring out your dead!"
