my insurance covered it 100%, I am in a vulnerable group because of age; maybe that made a difference.

Insurance has said it will cover the flu shot when I get it. I too am in a deep red state. These insurance companies know it’s cheaper to cover the flu shot than a hospital stay! I am guessing my insurance company will cover the Covid vaccine as well because, again that’s cheaper than hospital stay.

DeSantis is offering up his tributes to Trump.

Between ICE disappearing people and this, what the hell is Desantis thinking? Foreign tourism is already down. Add in the almost inevitable decrease in domestic trips to Disney World.

Ron, he’s already cast you off. You took over Alligator Alcatraz to cover his ass and now that’s shutting down which costs a butt ton of money.

Recruiters are going to have a hard time recruiting folks to move there. Why would you want to move somewhere that you can’t get healthcare as a woman and can’t get your kids vaccinated?
There is a shortage of medical providers in FL. They are always recruiting folks from out of state.
Good luck with that

And I really hope we don't reach a point where people will have to show proof of vaccinations just to enter and visit some States, but I won't be shocked if that becomes reality sometime in the future.

This is all so crazy.

8. It will likely depend on insurance.

Insurance tends to be linked to geography, unless you work for a multi-state corporation.

COVID vaccinations were free for all because of government funding, although they billed your insurance of you had any. Presumably the government funding is gone for those not in the recommended list - so cost will depend on coverage by insurance company. If you can't get medical care in another state, you likely won't be able to get vaccinations in another state.

I'm also planning to budget to pay for the shots myself - I was denied a pneumonia shot last spring by my insurance and the cost will be $350 or so to pay on my own

We've reached levels of stupidity in this country, that people are just going to have to allow fools to die. Never thought I'd say that.
