Federal agents forced to retreat on slashed tires after immigration raid confrontation in sanctuary city
More than 100 demonstrators surround ICE vehicles as roofers refuse to come down from rooftop

One roofer was taken into custody, while others stayed on the rooftop, WXXI News reported.

Some (protestors) were heard chanting "shame" and called the agents "gestapo," according to the outlet.

The Western New York Coalition of Farmworker Serving Agencies helped mediate the standoff, according to WXXI.

"The coalition is committed to standing alongside farmworkers, immigrants, and migrants to ensure dignity, fairness, and access to justice," coalition Executive Director Irene Sanchez said in a news release.

Terrifying. Can't imagine this would ever happen in the U.S.A.

We replaced our roof and it was over $15,000.00 This is just not affordable. Hopefully it will be our last in our lifetime.

The cost of roofs will go up without immigrants, or with fewer immigrants. It's not like rooves are optional. People will pay what they have to pay. It's going to be crazy.

I saw the video-

ICE took into custody the foreman, who is a legal resident, with a work permit, and threatened to make him disappear if he did not order his two workers, (document status unknown) to come down and surrender to the ICE agents. Basically kidnapping the legal one, and using the threats to force the others to give up. To me, that’s kidnapping and attempted extortion - by federal employees using threats.. They need to be held accountable.

18 U.S. Code § 872 - Extortion by officers or employees of the United States

U.S. Code-
Whoever, being an officer, or employee of the United States or any department or agency thereof, or representing himself to be or assuming to act as such, under color or pretense of office or employment commits or attempts an act of extortion, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; but if the amount so extorted or demanded does not exceed $1,000, he shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

Until Trump and his entire administration are removed, there will be no accountability. By then, the damage will be done to many lives.

Take that to the bank.

Getting supplies or hitting the porta potty.

Geesh that’s way worse. Good for him to tell them to pound sand. Absolutely ridiculous.

Re the workers who stayed up on the roof: I am grateful the CPB/ICE/Pretend Cops didn't call Hegseth and request an air strike.

Waiting up there to receive a helicopter drop of narcotics to poison the children of Rochester?
