While they were not making him a hero or martyr, they were speaking of how this comes from political anger. Their comments made this into a major event .. more than they did with the obviously political killings in Minnesota.

5 attempts we know of in 13 months to assassinate political figures; 2 successful. I don't think this will stop here, and I don't see this event turning into a learning moment or unifying force unless elected officials get out there tonight in some sort of bi-partisan media theatre event, holding hands or something.
