The former Director of the FBI is calling the FBI press conference about Kirk "disjointed"

on Ari's show. He also pointed out that there were conflicting stories given during the same press conference. No wonder I'm confused. Is there a suspect in custody or not?

That's the gist on X and Reddit, etc

Possibly the person in the crowd who was asking questions of Kirk at the time of the shooting

But no statement on detaining the actual shooter

It could be an incredible coincidence and it’s more likely (if this planned out) was letting it get going but not sticking around long enough for someone to notice them.

Now it cannot even give a coherent press conference and communicate with local police.

They could easily arrest and harm (if not kill) some innocent person on some false notion of guilt. We have seen it enough

They are going quite mad - in every sense.

He was only 31. He’s been around for pre-Trump which is 10 years now. Kirk was infused with Koch Brother money if memory serves. He was their youth outreach and, at least with the bros, it was effective. I hate to say it because he was a POS. I’m not happy he’s dead though. Quite sad.

This is how screwed this country is: There are three possibilities.

A) Patel just really has no clue that the old guy first arrested has already been cleared.

B) There is someone in custody because the whole thing was a false flag and they have a patsy.

C) The FBI actually apprehended the suspect but haven't even informed local police.

All of these possibilities should be able to be dismissed instantly in a well-functioning country.

Did the bullet cross state lines?

Was he kidnapped first?

Was there a bank robbery involved?

Was he a Trump bootlicker? Oops, think I got it.

Where the shooter was all over the Internet broadcasting their intentions while the FBI poo poo the threat of domestic terrorists to focus on Trump's war on immigrants. A war that did nothing to save the poor girl from NC either.

Trumps law and order is a fucking slaughterfeast at the moment.

was summarily fired three weeks ago, as reported on Nicolle Wallace's show this afternoon. She was well respected and well known in the FBI community, especially for her work in antiterrorism. The retired FBI agent who was discussing this indicated she was part of the purge of FBI leadership by Trump, and her recent removal would probably be felt in this particular effort to track and bring to justice the shooter.

Huh. So it goes. Incompetence of Trumpists comes home to roost?
