--and while some are kitschy, many are tremendously realistic. The American public (and not just teens) eat this stuff up and (I'd guess) are pretty darned desensitized by it.

So as horrific as those who see the real thing and are NOT desensitized--police, EMTS, and all who work in the nation's ERs, for the public, I just don't think it translates.

Live on tv. So they could SEE IT. For all of us, I think you're right we've BEEN done with this and ready for change for too long. But, ours aren't the votes we need (cause we're already there).

Like Eisenhower did in Germany right after WWII.
Make the German people walk through the concentration camps.

Make the American people look at 6 year olds shot to ribbons.
Make them look at Charlie Kirk with his head blown off.

Particularly younger Americans, who grew up with graphic videos from the war on terror and other heinous stuff that is freely available online. Graphic movies and violent video games are praised for their realism. Or look at first responders, their first days are rough, then they get used to it. Hell, first suicide bombing aftermath i saw in Iraq made me puke on the spot. By the time I rotated home, meh, nothing phased me. The shock would be short lived and then most would move on.

to last a lifetime, and the war continues.
