I appreciate all of you. My wife and I have left all news behind for years.

Just can't do it

I get my little snippets here from y'all. Certainly prevents whiplash and the disgust and anger I used to feel.

Too much to do - care for our 8 mo old grandson, work on book #3, enjoy living in the mountains.

The little bits I glean here are more than enough to let me know how utterly insane these times are

I use DU and Hacker News to curate news for me.

I choose what to read (that's the purpose of an aggregator!) and that's fine with me.

My feelings and sources are entirely under my control. It's liberating.

AND I GET TO REPLY with insightful (and sometimes fun) comments.

You can imagine the q)(#&$* replies that TV and radio "inspire"

I was in the service, and learned the joys of salty language.

No need here, nor on Hacker News.
