I think that it's difficult to understand how childish and unserious they are. We try to make sense of something that is deliberately nonsense.

This administration is losing control of their own youth base, because they're fighting amongst themselves in ways that make no sense to people not familiar with Fuentes, Kirk, Groypers, edgelord, how important memes are in their world and so forth.
