"The Groypers.."

The "Groypers," also known as the "Groyper Army," are a network of white nationalist activists and internet trolls led by far-right personality Nick Fuentes. The movement began in 2019, growing out of the "alt-right," and primarily targets young, disaffected conservatives and Generation Z.
Beliefs and agenda
The Groypers seek to push white nationalist and antisemitic views into mainstream conservative discourse by leveraging internet memes and social media. They subscribe to an "America First" nationalist ideology and are defined by their opposition to liberal and progressive values, feminism, and LGBTQ+ rights.
Core tenets of the groyper movement include:
White nationalism: The belief that the U.S. should remain a white, Christian nation and that demographic changes pose an existential threat to white identity.
Antisemitism: The promotion of conspiracy theories that claim "Jewish subversion" is undermining American society.
Rejection of mainstream conservatism: The belief that mainstream conservatives—or "Conservative Inc."—have betrayed their principles by refusing to address the cultural issues and demographic changes the Groypers oppose.
Tactics and strategy
Groypers use several tactics to spread their message and gain attention:
Groyper Wars: In 2019 and again in 2024, Groypers organized social media campaigns and real-world actions to disrupt mainstream conservative events, especially those hosted by organizations like Turning Point USA.
"America First" conferences (AFPAC): The movement hosts its own conferences, which have attracted media personalities, conservative influencers, and, on occasion, elected officials.
Social media manipulation: Groypers rely heavily on online platforms, using coordinated inauthentic behavior to amplify their message. This has continued despite leader Nick Fuentes being banned from numerous sites.
Recent developments (2024–2025)
In 2024, the movement made efforts to influence mainstream politics, sparking renewed attention:
Targeting the Trump campaign (2024): In August 2024, Nick Fuentes declared a "Groyper War" against Donald Trump's presidential campaign. Fuentes instructed his followers to pressure the campaign on social media to adopt their policy demands. This campaign struggled to achieve significant influence.
Controversy in Detroit: In July 2024, Fuentes held a gathering in Detroit that attracted mainstream Republican figures and conservative club members, demonstrating the movement's persistent efforts to gain acceptance and influence within the broader conservative landscape.
Renewed scrutiny following Charlie Kirk's death (2025): The September 2025 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk drew fresh attention to his long-standing feud with the groyper movement. While the motive for the killing was still under investigation, the Groypers' history of targeting Kirk for being "insufficiently radical" was highlighted. Some online speculation connected the incident to far-right elements, while authorities urged caution before drawing conclusions.
