if their own Republican voters turned on them and voted Democrat or didn't vote at all.
I know this sounds like crazy-talk. But it is my fervent hope that there are enough Republicans with half a brain still un-brainwashed by FoxNews and a conscience still stirring in their soul who are finally seeing Rump for the vile, disgusting, corrupt, soulless, traitor POS he is, to the point that they will either not vote or vote Democrat for the first time in their lives.
I know. Crazy-talk.

Spreading out the Republican voters to capture more districts actually reduces the Republican margin in every red district, making it more vulnerable if there is a shift in voter sentiment.
With the recent 75%-25% Dem win in Virginia, and the overperformance by Dems in the two Florida special elections a few months back, it looks like just such a shift is in play. Republicans may gerrymander themselves out of an extra 10 to 20 seats!

(122 posts)Trump is not on the ballot in 2026. A lot of those Trump voters won't bother to vote. While almost every Democrat will vote, we are so pissed off.
