Barack Obama sang Amazing Grace at a funeral, whereas Donald Trump told everyone he hates his opponents.
People just grieve differently, okay?

(3,026 posts)MAGA would see this post as pointing out Obama's weakness, crying like a baby about a few dead people while, on the other hand, their beloved syphilitic baby-raper shows he has command and power to fearlessly speak his [eentsy-teentsy] leprous mind. These same MAGA bugs would have praised Brian Kilmeade for saying that all homeless wanderers. like the weakling, Jesus, should be summarily executed. No, they don't want a preacher of love and brotherhood. "Give us Tiberius" the baby-raping Emperor who succeeded Octavius, they would have cried.
AND FOR GOD'S SAKE WHERE ARE THE EPSTEIN FILES???

(7,415 posts)at that event. It is hard to call it a memorial service. The pyrotechnics were surprising. I also read that he danced. I have actually attended a service with dancing. It was quite different. My coworker had died months ago after a long illness, but the service was delayed because of her husband's health. He was still quite pitiful. The service was very respectful and traditional in her Episcopal church. After the service her ashes were buried in the cemetery next to the church. This was also very traditional. Moments after people had put their handful of dirt onto the grave, there was a sound of recorded music. Slowly we recognized "Joy to the World", not the hymn but the version by Three Dog Night. There were smiles and laughter and a few people danced a little. It was the perfect ending. I know that Marilyn had planned this. Another coworker who is a Baptist was standing next to me. She said "I thought I had my funeral plans made, but I may add this". After hugs and smiles we dispersed.
So I cannot say that dancing at a funeral is inappropriate, but that event yesterday was hardly a religious service, it was a political rally for a hateful movement.
