Hillary Clinton's Bluesky post today

This is the president of the United States taking a break from gold-and-marble interior renovations to say he’ll defy a court order to feed hungry Americans.

Nero would be proud.

I don't understand why Hillary would fail to mention the obvious lies, since she's commenting already, but I suppose I'll take what I can get from any of our high-level Democratic Party leaders (who are WAAAAY too f'ing quiet from my standpoint, when judged as a whole).

That's the way to get a point through in a memorable way.

Dems tend to be way too wordy, to our detriment.

If you don't even mention the egregious lies, a reader could be left with the impression the assertions are true. Just sayin'. I love Hillary of course but I really want to see more fire out of her, and fair number of other big-name leaders who've been disappointing reticent to turn up the heat to the degree that is clearly warranted, overall. MHO, fwiw.

Also, in this case the brevity of Hillary's post did bring home her point most effectively.

at age 31 on June 9, 68 CE, amid a revolt against his rule.

Oh yeah, there's always going to be complaints that our Leaders aren't perfect enough.

She was robbed, and so were we all. I really wanted that heart and those brains in the Oval Office. I still do. Especially now, when we all have neither.

to him, we don't deserve to have both. I want to see all this top tier health care stripped away from him. I want any money he supposedly earns (by hook or by crook) during the shutdown clawed back and pumped back into the general treasury to make up for what he's robbed from us so far. And I want NO more money for king's palaces from anyone to be allowed. In short, I so dearly want people, governments, etc., treating trump just like he was a grunt like the rest of us.

The fact Dick Cheney could die gives me hope....

He was maligned after his death to suit a certain faction during a contenious succession conflict and forever more the fake story of him playing the fiddle while Rome burned has reverberated for nearly 2000 years. Whereas he actually helped fight the fire. Yes he did knock off some rival Senators etc, but our history sources are biased.

I truly wonder if the images of the gaudy, massive ballroom, the tearing down of the East Wing, and the images of the equally gaudy marble and gold bathroom during a shutdown had an impact on voters anger, particularly rural voters who tend to vote Republican.
