The Pentagon just issued new "rigged" rules to humiliate & eliminate trans troops

https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/11/the-pentagon-just-issued-new-rigged-rules-to-humiliate-eliminate-trans-troops/

A new policy rolled out by the Pentagon effectively removes a crucial part of due process for military service members facing involuntary separation under Trump’s second ban on transgender military members. Those who wish to argue against their separation at a board hearing will now have the final decision made by a superior who is not required to participate in that hearing.

“The administration knows these service members have done absolutely nothing wrong and that they are being discharged despite years of faithful service, commendations, honors, promotions, and deployment to combat zones across the globe,” Shannon Minter, legal director and vice president of the National Center for LGBTQ Rights, told The Advocate. “This is a cruel and bizarre attempt to deflect attention from the reality that these proceedings reflect a deeply flawed policy that is harmful to the military and to our country.”

When a service member faces involuntary separation from the armed forces for any reason, they are given a chance to contest the decision at an administrative separation board, if they’re enlisted, or a board of inquiry, if they are an officer. Like a court proceeding, service members can be represented by a lawyer, provide evidence that they should not be separated, and have peers speak on their behalf.

After that, the board will make a decision based on a preponderance of evidence standard and then make a recommendation for dismissal or retention, which is then enacted by a separating authority, most often, the person’s commanding officer.

Yes I wish it was not this way.

A once great country taken to its lowest common denominator.

8. It's been going that way since Bush 1 moved to the right.

He was bad enough already after what he did to Carter,
but the party demanded a move to the right, and he
complied.

As for Dubya, he was a mixed bag. Since his dad
started a war, he thought he had to start one too.

So, on foreign rlelations, he was very bad.

On the domestic front, not so bad at all. You wouldn't
believe the good he and Liz Cheney did for ESL
teachers and students with Title III.

I would still never have voted for him, though.

10. I think it started with Regan.

He was instrumental in changing the US for the worse.
He cheated to steal the election from Carter and it was downhill from there.

Bush was a lazy, stupid, alcoholic and drug addicted man who let Cheney destroy as much as possible for money.
A rich nepo baby who let others do their evil deeds.

Well I hear you about the education reform, but the bill was written by Boehner and Ted Kennedy.
With help from some of Bush's aides. I seriously doubt Bush cared about it in any way, someone
must have told him he could get good press from it.

I just meant that there was a noticeable move
to the right with the senior Bush when the electorate
and the psrty as a whole forced it. It got meaner too,

And Bush senior was the one who went to Paris
and tanked Carter's ability to get the hostages
back from Iran.

13. I agree. The Bush family introduced a very nasty mean streak into our body politic.

Yep. Bush senior's fingerprints on so many things.
Including his family's Nazi connections and CIA connections to JFK assassination.

Then stealing Florida for junior, pretending to win the election, staging the protests.
Then the ugly invasion of Iraq.

It was all very distressing and disgusting.

15. But Jeb Bush was governor and swore he would deliver Florida for his brother.

So the Bush Crime Family fingerprints are on it as well.
But yes of course they had help from other psychopaths.

Little did we know that all of this was the beginning of the Trump Crime Family takeover
of the US.

The Republicans had become mean, dirty,
and dominated by racism and evangelistic
misogynists.

We certainly knew that and didn't even fight
as hard for the vote count as the dirty
Republicans fought against it.

and called themselves Progressives.

Think people like the Clintons. That's why
I didn't like them all that much, though
they were good for the economy.

11. Did you hear this story?
Wed Nov 5, 2025, 05:12 AM

I had a friend at the time who was a legit Washington DC insider.

DC was abuzz with this story.

After Cheney destroyed Iraq to make his company Halliburton richer,
Cheney was ready to invade other countries in the Middle East.

Nancy Pelosi started to draw up Articles of Impeachment, and as a "courtesy"
called Bush Senior in Texas to let him know what was going on.

So then Bush Senior and Babs hightail it to the White House and chew their
son a new one. Bush Jr immediately ends any and all Cheney plans.
I don't think the Bush family ever spoke to the Cheneys again.
