2026 Will Be a Blood Bath: MAGA Says Warning Signs Are Flashing After Blowout Losses

MAGA's reactions to 2025 election results suggested a dismal mood among Trump's supporters in response to the GOP's nationwide defeat. Turning Point USA executive Tyler Bowyer shared Trump's frustrations about him not being on the ballot, but also chastised Republican leadership for not doing the ground work to be more competitive.
"When Trump isnt on the ballot and you dont make investments in chasing votes, you get voters who stay home," Bowyer wrote.
Former Trump campaign chairman and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon told his podcast viewers that Republicans should take Tuesday night's losses to heart, saying: "The midterms start tonight, and the warning signs are flashing." He observed that "Democrats just flipped two Georgia commissioners," marking "their first statewide wins in 30 years."
Far-right influencer Mike Cernovich (who spawned the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory) tweeted: "Ted Cruz and Mark Levin are walking Trump into impeachments and then prison. 2026 will be a blood bath." MAGA podcaster Jack Posobiec likewise warned that "2026 will be worse if we don't course-correct."
"Lame duck status is going to come even faster now," wrote conservative commentator Erick Erickson. Trump cannot turn out the vote unless he is on the ballot, and that is never happening again."

(7,300 posts)Not sure I agree with how they got there. I would submit that Trump is on the ballot. His policies are being vigorously deployed. People finally know what it is like when (as the MSM likes to say) the guard rails are off. They feel it in their pockets, in their schools, on their streets and in their families.
The Duh moment seems to have arrived.

(60,671 posts)in both NJ and VA. Trump was a factor in more than half the votes, more in the negative than the positive.
The fact is that Trump through words and actions is omnipresent, more than any President I can remember back to Kennedy.
At this point, his problem is that more people are against him than for him. What should trouble him is that in almost every NJ and VA county, there was a shift to the left. The good news with that is it increases the risk of Republican redistricting, where some districts have to be made weaker for them to create more Republican districts. We could be looking at a blue wave that raises our numbers everywhere. (As neither NJ or VA are solid red, this might not happen in areas that are far redder.)

(51,446 posts)If they stay the course things will only get worse for them. On the other hand, once they open the government, the Epstein files will be released and then there will be no escape. The Trump supporters cant hide behind the Johnson clause, claiming they didnt know. It is going to go downhill from this point on for the Republicans:

(87 posts)...no matter the vote in the House, I posit that there is 0% chance they will release the Epstein files, at least nothing in them that will incriminate Trump and the Rethuglicans. They absolutely can't, it would the (well deserved) end of their party.

(3,763 posts)say she had a large team of people going through and tagging places where Trump and other rich people are named?

(87 posts)The Biden admin had the files for 4 years and did nothing. Was Garland *that* inept?
I suspect that the reality is that the files contain much, much more than pedophilia and, if truly released, will bring the entire system down. Which may not be a bad thing.

(11,265 posts)But what would that do?
Force a HOUSE VOTE
Then to a Senate that will happily watch it die. And if it doesn't? (I think the Senate is TERRIFIED of this, they'll HAVE to fillibuster it all next year...)
It goes to trump to sign into law.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
The only way we're getting those files is with democratic party control of the ENTIRE government.

(4,439 posts)Instead, they will double down on Trump and milk it for however long it works.
The Repub states may even put up 26 props asking voters to allow a president to run for more than two terms in order to get out the vote.

(98,843 posts)Can't get above 30% in favor so that's a steep uphill slog for them.
No Kings is now a movement and it's already two to three times the size of maga. The blue tsunami is forming up and it looks to be massive when it hits, like next year.

(12,043 posts)... and when you suction yourself to the ass of a highly unpopular dictator wannabe who is pushing an extremely unpopular agenda as if he already is one, you get voters to come out!

(383 posts)Great night but now its time to keep the foot on the gas. I felt very good last night. Many polling area I saw had voters hanging around and keeping an eye on their neighbors and friends. I suggested this in another post, and hoping in 2026, it will be the same a show of force and large crowds help show that we are not going to take any 💩
