GAVIN NEWSOM successfully gives America's Favorite Rapin' Grampy a yummy spoonful of his own TEXAS MEDICINE.

What shocks me about all of this is how mind-numbingly SIMPLE it is, but TRUMP is doing his best to muddy the waters.

The TEXAS move was a BLATANT POWER GRAB from the BEGINNING, and Trump didn't pretend otherwise.

So NEWSOM says "OK, you want to do that in TEXAS, we'll do the same in CALIFORNIA."

And VOTERS SIGNED OFF ON IT.

Now, TRUMP and BANNON are calling California's move "ILLEGAL" and "UNCONSTITUTIONAL" and it's a straight, lateral, "APPLES AND APPLES" response to WHAT TRUMP PULLED IN TEXAS.

Trump has NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HANDLE being on the RECEIVING END of "FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT."

Now, he has no choice, and if this even gains an ounce of traction in the courts, it's gonna be a really interesting battle.

So unless you have other suggestions, I think we need to award Governor Newsom with the 2025 "Fuck Around And FInd Out" GOLD MEDAL for giving America's favorite rapin' grampy a taste of his own Texas medicine.

3. Of equal importance, he "found the formula."

There are ways to deal with Trump's nonsense, and ways to NOT deal with it.

Newsom knows what he's doing. None of it is all that complex...just like Trump. Trump is a predator. Trump's "next move," I believe, can be successfully predicted 99.9% of the time. He's a creature of impulse. He has no "off" switch. And he's a painfully repetitive moron. It's a rather simple process to 'do the math" on Trump and formulate a response, but it STILL REQUIRES PRECISION, and Newsom FOUND THE FORMULA.

I honestly don't think ANYONE is "better" at throwing Trump's own crap right back at him than Newsom.

7. Dumpy is very predictable. Next move: ratchet up the police state violence and rhetoric.

TACO on shutdown. Increase tariffs even more. More fishing and leisure boats blown up in the gulf of mexico. More doubling down on punishing the 99%……..

Much, much more of the same and worse.

He saw a problem and he took action and got something done with the help of many many voters. His haters here and elsewhere had better buckle up.

4. There is more at stake than just giving Texas a lesson.

We have to give the Supreme Court a lesson. Their reasoning that allows the gerrymandering was so fucking stupid. Now, here is the consequence they have to deal with because they couldn't conceptualize where that decision would lead.

10. Or worse: maybe they could conceptualize where it would go. They (or at least the Sleazy 6) have brought back Jim Crow...

5. I think CA is more legitimate than TX

CA put it up for a vote by all its voters- should we redistrict?

TX used its extreme gerrymandering and voter suppression/repression to stack the state house, then pushed it through without any input to find out the true vote of TX people.

Newsom's always going to send it through the system.

Trump's attitude is that the system is for suckers.

14. When he FIRST announced his intention to do this, there was chatter about whether the support would be there.

And, because he announced it quite a while back, and Trump has only gotten worse since then, I am assuming voters eventually understood what was at stake. But yeah, BIG KUDOS to CALIFORNIA VOTERS.

16. Let Trump sue us. Take it all the way to the SCOTUS

See how the SCOTUS can bend themselves into a pretzel justifying the Texas legislature doing this on their own while finding California illegal, even after putting it to a vote of the entire citizenry.

Bring.
It.
On.
