SC Justice Gorsuch winding up courage to restrain and contain the megalomaniac he helped unleash on the American people

...in a hearing today challenging Trump's tariffs, Justice Gorsuch questioned Trump attorney Sauer about the limitations of the president’s power:

“I want it explained to me how you draw the line, because you say we shouldn’t be concerned because this is foreign affairs and the president has inherent authority, and so delegation off the books, more or less. And if that’s true, what would prohibit Congress from just abdicating all responsibility to regulate foreign commerce, for that matter, declare war, to the president,” Gorsuch said.

“Don’t we have a serious retrieval problem here? Because once Congress delegates by a bare majority and the president signs it, and of course, every president would sign a law that gives them more authority, Congress can’t take that back without a supermajority. And even, you know, even then it’s going to be veto-proof. What president is ever going to give that power back? Pretty rare president.”

...this is the same Neil Gorsuch who said in voting to delay Trump's trial before the election, ultimately voting to give him immunities for anything he can claim is an official action in office, that "...we're writing a rule for the ages."

Now Gorsuch is doing what I predicted and panicking about Trump usurping his own yet-unchecked power in some future Executive declaration, having already witnessed the open defiance of the courts from Trump's own mealy mouth.

So far, this Supreme Court has basically allowed Trump's unilateral actions behind self-serving declarations of national emergencies to continue unabated without making definitive rulings on the merits or even providing any guidance at all for the lower courts or anyone else in their decisions.

Aside from their clear blame for whatever autocratic antics they're concerned about today by their emboldening and enabling of any already convicted felon and fraudster facing dual, multi-felony indictments with invented immunities based on their will and whim, you still have to wonder just what kind of understanding they presumed they had with the mentally-disturbed megalomaniac that gave them confidence their own preeminent positions would be protected from his power grabs?

Maybe we have Gorsuch on this vote. Or maybe this is a simping shout out to papa; sucking up within Trump's earshot like Don Jr. and Eric coyly vying for affection and attention that he's never given them; never will.

It wouldn't be all that surprising to see this Court bail out their sweet selves while allowing Americans to remain under the heel of this autocratic regime.

But if they're just completely disavowing their own responsibility to protect those of us who reside in this country, as it appears the a majority of justices has so far, allowing Trump's oppression and repression to continue with impunity, they shouldn't expect those same people they've deliberately neglected to one day stand in their defense.

They'll need to 'find out' like the rest of the republican party and supporters before they move an inch to confront their daddy; do more than just cry and whimper to him.

Bail him out of the tariff nightmare.
Trump can breathe easy and blame the judges.

Stock market will be happy.
All in time for midterms.

So judges are bailing out the GOP Congress too.

...neither are their rich friends who started out believing the tariffs were just a ruse, now forced into a whack-a-mole game wondering which one of their investments is going to be hit next.

They are in fact part of the Trump/Putin crime syndicate.

The Supreme Court will do a favor for their rich friends too.

They don't care about the American people at all.

Rich and powerful friends who pay them handsome bribes are their main interest.
