What does that say when the capital of capitalism --NYC-- decides that socialist/democratic measures

are necessary to remedy the inequities created by a capitalist system. And these inequities are no surprise, since capitalism tends to be a zero sum game where the billionaires take it all.

To give this historical perspective, it's not the first time we've been here. Hence, the origination of social security and health care.

I think Mandami won because he was - young, good looking, ethnic - and not Andrew Cuomo - meaning with an (perceived?) element of establishment and backroom/boardroom ....

Social Democrat? Hmmm. Man on the street doesn't really even know what that means exactly.
Kinda' like, 'for the little guy?' Except that - everyone from Donald Trump to Lindsey Graham also touts themselves as 'for the little guy'. So .... ?
