When Would The Shutdown Have To End By So The Airlines.....

would be able to recover from it and be back to normal flights for the Thanksgiving Holiday?

Given the stoppage of 10% of the flights from the busiest airports - it seems to me that if this shutdown extends any longer - the Holiday flights might not recover in time and there would be chaos at the U.S. Airports.

This is what they voted for. They can't run away from the chaos now.

Don't fly enough to have any idea, thank goodness. Haven't flown since before covid,
nor had any need to,
and have been prejudiced against getting into an airliner ever since---

but carry on, all.... hope things can work out for you, OP poster....

The airlines will furlough personnel if they see traffic curbed. Temporarily mothballed planes will have to be brought back to 100% airworthiness, and flight personnel brought back from wherever they went when they were furloughed. It can’t be done overnight.

He said after a deal was made it would still take “weeks” to recover.

I cancelled my flight and vacation scheduled for next week because of the drumpf shutdown. So bummed. We had it planned for months. But cannot risk thousands of dollars on the chance of cancelled flights or being stranded with no way home.

Democrats made the trains, and planes, run on time!!!
