Trump approval drops as Dems show more motivation for midterms: Poll

President Trump’s approval rating is dropping as Democrats signal more motivation than the GOP ahead of next year’s midterm elections, according to a new Emerson College Polling survey released on Friday.

Forty-one percent of voters said they approved of the job Trump is doing as president, a four-point drop from Trump’s October approval rating of 45 percent. Forty-nine percent of voters said they disapproved of Trump’s job in office, up from 48 percent last month.

Meanwhile, the same poll found that 71 percent of Democratic voters said they were motivated to vote in next year’s midterm elections compared to 60 percent of Republicans. Forty-two percent of Independents said the same.

Fifty-seven percent of all voters said they were more motivated to vote than usual, while 12 percent said they were less motivated. Thirty-one percent said they were motivated as usual ahead of the midterms.

2. The Emerson poll had NJ Governor 49% - 48% - It's safe to say their methodology overcorrects for GOP/MAGA

They should be embarrassed about putting another poll out so soon after their catastrophic miss on New Jersey governor.

Emerson was the leader of the pack and the main source for the "it's a dead heat" rhetoric of the establishment media. Sherrill won, let's remember, by 13 percentage points, and the MAGA clown didn't break 44%.

Emerson kinda sucks these days. Do any of us REALLY believe that incompetent POS has an approval rating over 40%? I don't....polls are a joke these days. I pay less and less attention frankly.

3. Good direction but look at the bigger picture

If you check Trumps historical job approval, he was far further underwater back in 2018 when he had a 37% approval rating.

And he still managed to get re-elected.

It's not Trump that is the problem, it is the brainwashed brain-dead dimwits in rural America that we have to worry about.

5. I think his policy results are settling in and people are aware prices are getting uncontrollable

He can tell us gas and meat are cheaper, but the prices we encounter every single day tell us something else. I think the ugly price tags are a damn bit louder than trump's ugly tantrums.
