(13,390 posts)Immediately disappointed, didn't finish the first one and never watched again. Occasionally I'll see a clip and it only reinforces my choice. He is a self important jerk, I have no idea who watches him.

(4,849 posts)other FL Dems can see some success like many places in the country this week, next year in the midterms. It's been a rough go in FL for a while. Too long.

(2,310 posts)Looks like death. Hes only 76 but he looks and sounds like a fragile old man. The show was OK, not great. Personally, I dont care about Kenny Chesney or any other country music singer, but Chesney seems like a reasonable man and an affable person. Moskowitz was entertaining, as usual. Maher was Maher; I know what Im getting. I did like that he got in a great zinger at OReilly, and it really got under his skin.

(2,823 posts)I'm not a C&W fan, but I found Kenny Chesney to be an interesting guest.
And although I've never been able to stomach Bill O'Reilly, and had you asked me if he was still alive I honestly would not have known, he was not as bad as I expected. The back and forth between Maher/Moskowitz/O'Reilly was pretty good as well.
And of course the New Rules were fun as usual. I especially enjoyed the bit about enteral ventilation, or at least the pic. Wowzer.
And this one...
For example, in May and June of this year, on issues like withholding money Congress specifically authorized and suspending due process for non-citizens, federal district courts ruled against the current administration in 82 out of 87 cases. But at the Supreme Court, President Trump is on a 17 case winning streak, which is funny because during the Biden years, the court was all about reigning in presidential power. Biden was constantly asking for leeway on issues like vaccine mandates, regulating carbon, cancelling student debt, and the court was constantly telling him, "Sorry, Joe, we check the rules and no, President alone doesn't have that power."
But when Trump's lawyers asked if he had absolute immunity, so absolute that he could even use Seal Team Six to assassinate political enemies, they said, "Who are we to judge? You do you. And the president has taken full advantage of that.
All in all, not bad!
