(128,249 posts)The Supremes don't like to decide cases when there are other cases on the same issue pending in another lower court. But once the 1st circuit decides, probably in favor of paying the SNAP money, don't be surprised if Krasnov appeals from that, too.

As of November 7, the following states have confirmed that SNAP benefits have been distributed:
Alaska
California
Illinois
Louisiana
Nevada
Oregon
Vermont
Wisconsin

(21,479 posts)This stay puts pressure on the lower court to rule quickly- if KBJ hadnt issued a short term stay, the full court would have issued an indefinite stay pending SCOTUS review, and we know how slow that would be.
