Fucking SCOTUS did it again - granted Trump's administrative stay on SNAP benefits.

Waiting for 1st Circuit decision.

The Supremes don't like to decide cases when there are other cases on the same issue pending in another lower court. But once the 1st circuit decides, probably in favor of paying the SNAP money, don't be surprised if Krasnov appeals from that, too.

This stay puts pressure on the lower court to rule quickly- if KBJ hadn’t issued a short term stay, the full court would have issued an indefinite stay pending SCOTUS review, and we know how slow that would be.

but maybe there's a window of time to get the payments started. At least Jackson was able to hold off the full court for now.

The first circuit is expected rule by Monday, which would allow/force more states to release their funds before SCOTUS can issue their stay.
