Has the USDA paid out the SNAP benefits already? 🤔

I posted an article earlier today that they were paying it to comply with the court order.

Then, later, there was news of the appeal of that court order to the 1st Circuit and then to the Supreme Court.

If that money's been paid, no takesies backsies.

that the US govt had to use emergency funds available for SNAP benefits.... and started to disburse those funds, which didn't cover the whole month of November.

It also appears that *some* states may have started to disburse those funds to SNAP recipients
on the basis of that initial court order, anticipating to receive those partial funds from the national government---

then one of the same judges ordered the Trump administration to pay out the ENTIRE SNAP funds
needed for November, to the states---

then the Trump administration appealed the case to a higher court,
and the 'Supreme Court' issued a 48-hour stay against the order of the lower court judge,
instructing the middle court (not the SC) to settle that issue within that time frame---

YES, the situation right now is very legally confused,

but some people on this board have reported receiving their November benefits already----
probably mostly from 'blue states'--- as the 'red states' seem less capable
to deal with internet technology issues which could, because of only 'partial payments',
DELAY the payments of those benefits to SNAP recipients "for weeks or months"....

I'm a SNAP beneficiary myself, 63 years old next month, single and alone,
and applied for reduced Social Security benefits shortly after Trump won the 24 election---
I didn't want to, at that time, but felt I had 'no choice'---
I have issues that keep me from getting a job, or even a good 'gig'--
and was already ON SNAP, which was part of my calculation---

So now, with the big abortion bill, at 63 they want to force me back into the workforce
(perhaps I could take the place of some undocumented worker whom they are deporting---'
and they have SAID THAT!)----

Well, if I worked the 20 hours a week which they demand,
the minimum income from that, added to my small social security
would cut me off from all SNAP and Medicaid anyway, as I understand it....

TRUMP and REPUBLICANS WANT ME TO DIE, SOONER better than later---
and they are RIGHT, because I will VOTE for those motherfuckers
to BURN IN HELL, for as long as I draw breath!

(if they can drive me deep enough into despair,
I might do more than 'vote'!)
