I used to listen to and watch MSNBC and FreeSpeechTV for news and discussion. After the disaster that was the last election I came to the realization that these sites were not providing the information nor the approach I felt was needed to address the Fascism creeping into our society. I've stopped using these sites and services.
Here is a short list of some of the other sources I now use.
1. "The Daily Beans" ( https://mswmedia.com/show/daily-beans/ )
A Monday through Friday daily news wrap up hosted by Allison Gill and Dana Goldberg. Usually approx. an hour long featuring news and oocasional guests The Daily Beans is an especially good news show that covers news of interest to Progressives without corporate spin.
2. "The Thom Hartmann Show" ( https://www.youtube.com/@thomhartmann/streams )
One of the most intelligent political commentators around Thom hosts regular guests and callers comments. The show is live on You Tube from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Monday through Friday PST.
3. "Net Roots Radio" ( https://www.netrootsradio.com/ )
A 24/7 source for progressive news and commentary featuring several good programs.
4."The Al Franken Podcast" ( https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-al-franken-podcast/id1462195742 )
A weekly podcast hosted by Al Franken that features interesting interviews and commentary.
5. "The Dusty Show" ( https://www.youtube.com/@CultOfDusty/streams )
A video roundup of national news hosted multiple times a week by Dusty Smith. Dusty is brutally honest about the absurdity that is the Republican party under Donald Trump. His comments are biting and on target regarding the idiots in the Republican party and the hypocrisy so prevalent in our society these days. 4 letter words are used in case that might offend you.
Anyway there are some alternatives for those of you seeking change from MSNBC and FreeSpeechTV.

(30,629 posts)and then you say to watch Thom Hartmann who is on freespeecgtv.org.
I do msnbc at 4 PM and maybe watch Chris Hayes once in a while. Lawrence once in a while. Morning I do freespeechtv.org.
Morning cable news is pretty much worthless, it talks about right wing narratives, even if it bashes them I can't take it.
I watched Katy Tur for 10 minutes yesterday, she had right wing assholes on, one may have been a Democrat. She let them shit all over her while grinning.
say to "dump" Freespeechtv although I did. I donated to FreespeechTV for many years, After the last election I realized that FSTV has its focus in the wrong direction with regard to current events in the U.S.. With the exception of Thom Hartmann's time slot their other shows are focused primarily on events in other countries or occasional documentaries on subjects like labor strikes in the early 1900's or are self indulgent. That's all well and good if this country wasn't currently facing a five alarm fire but IMHO its a tragic waste of sorely needed progressive media given the lack of viable progressive media sources. A while back I contacted them asking if they could, among other things, add a news show. They did, Al Jazeera. I was suggesting a news show focused on U.S. issues, not Al Jazeera. I hope someone wakes them up over there and gets them to realize that while its fine to touch on the various issues around the world the real issues are right here right now, not 5000 miles away or 90 years ago.
On MSNBC even though they have some great folks there their corporate overlords keep them under their thumb. It remains to be seen if they'll even exist after they are ejected from the NBC orbit.
Try the Daily Beans for general news. Allison and Dana do a better job covering news of interest to Progressives than either MSNBC or FSTV.
