Cassano's Pizza King is a long time Restaurant Chain based in Dayton, Ohio and started by Vic Cassano.
The Franchise owner is offering a free small pizza for SNAP recipients impacted by the cut in SNAP benefits. She said many people near her restaurant are hurting including many seniors. She wants to do this as long as she can.
Also Giovani's Restaurant in Fairborn has given out 350 meals on Thursday to SNAP Recipients and government worker impacted by the shut down. They will do this every Thursday during the shutdown.
I've seen Cassano story on a couple of local stations but have been unsuccessful in finding a link. We would love to go up there and eat and to contribute to their costs. I am fortunate, am a senior and do not need SNAP but fortunes can sometimes turn on a dime, especially if you get sick and incur medical bills.
In these cruel times, some need to be recognized for the good that they do.

in 5 pound bags and gave it to my local community center after I saw that people were looking
to give up there pets because of the cuts.
